Tempo for Mac. A menubar app and nothing more.
A quiet menubar app that syncs Claude Code and Codex session metadata to your team’s Tempo dashboard, so you can see where the time and spend actually go.
Tempo uploads metadata about a session: which agent ran, when it started and stopped, how long a person was at the keyboard, what the tokens cost, and which repository and branch the work touched. Tempo’s desktop collector sends structured metadata to Tempo, not transcript message bodies. Separately, the local coach returns requested transcript excerpts to your AI client, which may send them to its configured provider. The collector’s limit is the metadata itself: repository names, file paths and timings do describe your work, and they are what the dashboard is made of.
Tempo for Mac is distributed internally. Ask your workspace owner for the Mac app ZIP and the installation instructions that accompany it. This site does not host a public download.
Get the app from your workspace owner.
- Get your internal package Your workspace owner supplies the Mac app ZIP, the supported Mac architecture, and installation instructions. Use the package they provide for this workspace.
- Launch it from Applications Extract the ZIP and move Tempo into Applications. This internal build is not Developer ID signed or notarised, so macOS may block it on first launch.
- If macOS refuses it Contact your workspace owner to verify the package and follow the installation instructions supplied with it. Do not disable Gatekeeper for all apps.
Your workspace owner can confirm the expected package and help with installation. This page does not promise that downloading another copy will resolve a macOS security warning.

Once it is running. The dashboard does the rest.
Sign in and the desktop collector begins uploading metadata for the sessions it can see. The collector uploads nothing before you sign in, because before then there is nowhere to send it and no organisation it belongs to.
